I love Spring and the promise of it arrival….. slowly over the next couple months. As winter ends I will pack away the heavier throws, winter greenery and winter decor. It’s time to throw open the windows, maybe do a little spring cleaning and redecorate. With that in mind, let me share with you 5 easy beautiful ways to decorate your home for spring and bring some of that warm sunshine into our home.

1. Fresh Green Houseplants
Fresh green houseplants are a great way to put you in the mood for spring and add that fresh outdoor feel to your home. Placed on a shelf, mantle, counter or windowsill they add such a nice pop of green to your decor. Look for easy to care for plants such as the umbrella tree, snake plant, philodendron, dracaena, english ivy, aloe vera or spider plant. All of these have managed to survive in my house. Of course if a green thumb is just not in your genes, there are many great options to buy artificial plants. Plant are known to make your indoor space feel healthier and boost your overall mood.

2. Beautiful Spring Wreaths
Adding a beautiful spring wreath to your front door is another great idea for spring decor. The variety of different kinds of wreaths available are almost unlimited. Whether you decide to make your own or buy one, doesn’t really matter. When you or your visitors walk up to your front door, seeing a cheery flower wreath brings a feeling of warmth and happiness to your home. Another option besides a wreath is a hanging basket filled with flowers or pretty wooden sign hung on your door. Any type of flowers will make a beautiful wreath but here are a few very spring feeling flowers. Tulips, daffodils, hyacinth, iris, crocus, and pussy willow branches. Adding a touch of colourful ribbon or a bird nest with speckled eggs can make a really fun statement too.

3. Bouquets of Pretty Spring Flowers
We talked about flowers on a door wreath, but they are really a great way to add a spring feeling to indoor spaces in your home as well. Bouquets of fresh or artificial flowers in different containers can be places in bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. Baskets, crocks, vases, pitchers all work well to display your flowers in. Cherry blossoms are one of my favourite spring flowers to use. Look at using any spring flowers that you love mixed with some pretty greenery or a combination of spring flowers.

4. Spring Indoor Gardening Decor
Gardening decor is definitely a beautiful way to incorporate spring decor into your home. Think about using pretty pot containers, hanging pots or plant ladders. Galvanized or decorative watering cans look adorable on display. Buckets, vintage looking seed packets, trellis, ladders, picket fences or mini gardening tools are a few more cute ideas that can make very pretty spring arrangements.

5. Adorable Baby Animals
When we think about animals in our spring decor we most likely think about baby bunnies first. Bunnies are a super popular decor item for this season but there are a few other baby animals that make cute decor as well. For instance birds, chicks, ducklings and lambs. These can all be brought in with almost any decor such as pillows, plates, table linens and signs
